Abducted Groove is a party originally launched by Tokyo-based producer/DJ Kanse and Canada-based DJ Dairyfree.

As Kanse and DJ Koki began hosting electro-focused parties in Tokyo, they took over the project, which has continued intermittently since 2023.

Held at venues such as Aoyama Hachi and club asia, the party centers around electro while inviting guests known for a wide range of genres.

They have also actively collaborated with international artists, hosting guests such as CPSmith, head of the renowned electro label CPU Records, and French DJ/producer Amor Satyr in 2024.

In addition, Abducted Groove runs its own label, led by Kanse, releasing collaborative works with producers such as AE35 and Shun.

For this edition of Abducted Groove, taking place on Thursday night, April 30 at club asia, DJ Eft and nite bite will be joining from the US.

Based in Portland, US, DJ Eft and nite bite also perform together as the duo bugbite.

Their sound traverses trippy dance music, ambient, and experimental, blending electronic textures with an organic sense of nature and living presence.

Beyond DJing, they organize the party/festival Osmosis, held in clubs and occasionally in forest settings, and have invited artists such as DJ Nobu, Objekt, CCL, Priori, and upsammy, contributing to the shape of Portland’s underground music scene.

They have also contributed mixes to NTS Radio through the label 3XL, curated by Special Guest DJ, extending their reach beyond Portland.

In Japan, DJ Eft performed at Mitsuki in 2023. In 2025, both artists played at the anniversary of West Harlem and appeared on Room 303 Radio.

Taking over from bugbite, SOGI commands attention across a wide range of venues and genres, leading the floor with a light yet energetic touch shaped by a finely honed underground sensibility.

Closing the night, Dihi channels bass, electro, and breaks into a house-driven groove, earning strong support and trust from fellow artists.

From the organizers, Koki, a reggae selector at his core and a genre-fluid party instigator, appears with his signature unpredictable style.

Meanwhile, Kanse, also active as a producer, —spinning not only turntables but also penspinning, breakdancing, will present a rare live set.

Don’t miss the first-ever B2B set by DJ Eft and nite bite at a Tokyo club!!

Bio:
Somewhere between a dream state and a waft of earthen bliss, bugbite is a merging of the minds between Portland based Osmosis crew selectors, nite bite and dj eft.

DJ Mix:

SOGI

Originally from Kyoto, SOGI began DJing in 2023.

With a style rooted in minimal, their sets traverse techno, bass, and tribal, shaped by a strong sense of groove. Drawing from a decade of ballet training and time spent within Osaka’s techno scene, SOGI emphasizes flow and continuity in their selections.

Their experience living in London, where they were exposed to diverse cultures, also forms the foundation of their musical perspective.

Since 2024, they have been based in Tokyo, launching their own party “STC.”

Dihi

Born in 1995, Dihi builds sets around a house-driven groove, incorporating elements of minimal, dub, breakbeats, and electro.

They host a bi-monthly residency at Doosra, Shinjuku, and also organize the party “300yards” on an irregular basis.

Kanse

A Japan-based producer and DJ.

In 2023, Kanse released their debut EP on Liquid Love Records, followed by releases on Ovelha Trax and Club Designs.

In Tokyo, they host “Abducted Groove,” a party centered around electro and breaks.

Koki

Based in Tokyo, Koki is active as a reggae selector, drawing from roots reggae, dub, and dancehall while freely incorporating electro, house, techno, and jungle into their sets.

Lately, their selections have also leaned toward jazz, Latin, and Brazilian music.

Together with producer Kanse, Koki co-hosts the electro party “Abducted Groove” on an irregular basis.

Elusive and unpredictable in appearance.
