True to its name, club asia operates as a live music venue in the evening and transforms into a night CLUB after dark, with artists and bands spanning diverse musical styles letting a wide array of sounds ring out day and night.

Now, a joint performance by two particularly distinctive acts has been announced!
"RAY", advocating for themselves as an alternative idol group aiming for the extreme edge.
"LA SEÑAS", comprised solely of percussionists who incorporate improvisation guided by hand signs.
This event will embody club asia's core concept: "Embracing all music."

RAY has continuously organized joint events with bands.

Grounded in shoegaze and devouring everything up to the fringes of world music, their list of past co-performers features an illustrious, distinctly non-idol lineup including Jun Togawa, moreru, Boris, ZAZEN BOYS, downy, Asunojokei, and MO'SOME TONEBENDER.

Not stopping at a broad musical palette, their live performances take diverse forms, from member-planned events and original track creation to acoustic sets performed entirely by the members themselves.

Last year, in 2025, they held a solo live show titled GROOVE!GROOVE!GROOVE! at LIQUID ROOM with an unconventional setup for an idol group—featuring live backing by 3 drum kits and 2 guitars—which completely sold out.

In 2026, themed around MOD = Transformation, they may be stepping away from the conventional "cute" idol image, pursuing self-expression to evolve into a genuinely "cool" idol group.

Their co-star, LA SEÑAS, describes themselves just as the title of this show suggests: a "Wild Percussion Ensemble."
They frequently perform in events and hold solo shows at club asia, and staff members seeing them for the first time are invariably blown away.

Just as there are fixed perceptions around what an "idol" is, people often have a rigid stereotype of a "band"—thinking of a standard 3-piece with vocals & guitar, bass, and drums.

However, LA SEÑAS is entirely instrumental and centered on percussion. Where the vocalist would usually stand, a conductor directs, shifting every nuance of the performance—tempo, rhythm, solos—using hand signs, just like an orchestra.

Those signals are directed not only at the musicians on stage, but at times toward the floor audience as well, revealing an agitator's side.

With the performance on stage unfolding unpredictably while the energy on the floor surges in tandem, it's a live show you can't tear your eyes away from for even a second.

RAY＞

A female idol group launched in May 2019, working under the tagline "Alternative Idols Aiming for the Extreme Edge." The current lineup consists of four members: Yua Uchiyama, Mao Tsukimi, Miumi Tsumugi, and Yuki Harune. Freely fusing shoegaze, alternative rock, IDM, techno, and more with stoic live performances, they boast a singular presence in the live idol scene. They have received music contributions from a wide variety of creators active in shoegaze and alternative genres. In October 2025, they released their 4th album, "White," which includes the track "Bittersweet" produced by Mark Gardener of the legendary British shoegaze band Ride.

LA SEÑAS＞

Formed in 2016. A "Wild Percussion Ensemble" comprised entirely of percussionists.

Japan's first group to adopt "Rhythm with Signs," an improvisational performance technique using hand signs.

A roar hammered out by a massive ensemble. Unpredictable developments unique to improvised performance. Music that is both traditional and revolutionary. Their overwhelmingly powerful performance invites all listeners into a "Country of Frenzy."

Their music has garnered acclaim across generations and nationalities, leading to performances across all kinds of venues—from live clubs, outdoor festivals, and nightclubs, to school gymnasiums and workshops for children.

They have been drawing attention from all sides, having appeared on TV Asahi's "EIGHT-JAM" percussion special, collaborating with prominent domestic and international artists such as Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai, Natsuko Nisshoku, KenKen (RIZE), and Keita Ogawa (Snarky Puppy), and being featured on Yahoo! News.

In September 2021, they released their 1st EP "La", followed by their 2nd EP "Señas" in December of the same year. In January 2024, they released their 1st album "Country of Frenzy" nationwide. That same year, they held a Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka tour, with the tour finale at Shibuya WWW selling out.

In March 2025, with their 2nd album "Frenzy Transcends Everything" in hand, they embarked on another Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka tour—all four shows, including Shibuya WWWX, having sold out six months in advance.
In May 2026, they released their 3rd album "Spun Toward the Far Reaches of Frenzy" and launched their largest nationwide tour to date that same month. The tour finale came to a spectacular close amidst great fanfare at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM.
